The Aykler Report #15 – Sooner Than I Thought

Greetings from the Pacific Coast of North America!

Here’s the thing: I sent last month’s newsletter late and I’m sending this one right on time (first Monday of the month). I was late last month because of my routine summer laziness. I am on time this month because I told a bunch of fellow indie authors I would.

I can’t honestly tell you that I am much further along on the new thing I hinted at last month, but I have some character sketches and outline elements in place. It may not look like it when you read my final products, but I like to let things gestate for a while before diving in too deep. I’ll write snatches of dialog or parts of scenes at the earliest stages, but these don’t always make the final cut.

Anyway, that’s what I’m doing here on this remote stretch of coastline: gestating a monster story or three. Yeah, that’s right, I’m trying for another trilogy.

At some point in the near-ish future I will be sharing the first 10-20 pages (3000-6000 words) of the new thing in order to get some reader feedback. Naturally, I’ll start with the AARG! team (see below for more info), but will open it up to other folks as well. If you are interested in helping me write a better story for you, reply to this email and let me know. I’ll put you on the one-time beta reader list.

Be sure to check out the promo info below!

Yours in undead infection affection,

Al-not-bert Aykler

There’s interesting stuff in this bunch for everyone: tentacled beings falling from the sky, tips for debunkers that make excellent bathroom reading, and tales of inter-species romance. What’s not to love?

Ratings and Reviews

If you can spare five minutes, please leave a review for one of my books at Amazon, Bookbub, or Goodreads. Reviews have a huge impact on my ability to keep creating stories — cast iron frying pan flying at great speed into a squishy zombie nose kind of impact.

Subscribe to The Aykler Report, my almost monthly newsletter. When you do, you will receive these updates in your email inbox, usually about five days before I hit publish on the blog. You will also receive special offers not featured on the site and a chance to become a member of the Aykler Advanced Reader Group (AARG!).
